Mah Jong is a game of rhythm: the wash of tiles across the table, the click of a wall being built, four players settling in for an evening that rarely ends early. We started Ming and Mayfair because the tables it is played on so rarely live up to that ritual.
So every table begins with the game itself. We proportion the playing surface so four walls sit comfortably with room to reach the centre, set the height for long sessions, and choose materials that feel as good under the hand as they look in the room. Every detail is considered, from the grain of the wood to the finish of the edge.
Each piece is made by hand and only once you order it. No stock, no shortcuts. Our goal is simple: to make every table as unique as the people who gather around it.
